Great prices. But that's about it. Plan ahead!!! Because you will DELIBERATELY be: driving in heavily trafficked routes (no matter what makes sense), dropping off and picking up others. So really really really give yourself extra time. I tried to use via to get to work. If I did this regularly I would get fired for lateness.
I love the price point on the rides. I don't mind meeting drivers and the passengers are fine. I do have a few little problems. I've had both pick ups and drop offs that have both been on the far end of a one way street. The driver had to pass the building I was leaving. Just silly to walk a block away for no reason. My bigger issue is not having an ETA, route or alert if a rider will be joining my trip. This makes it very difficult to plan around.
It took me an hour and 20 minutes to get to 5 miles away because its worst then MTA bus! I give Via thumbs down and 1 start. Service and drivers suck. Uber only picks up passengers to your direction, if there is no anyone you still get to pay $5... useless riding,
App is good but it could be better. It would be nice to see a running total of daily and weekly earnings within the app. Getting a pay receipt after every trip is unnecessary and only clutters my email inbox.
Via is seriously the best ride share app. Reasonable prices and no ridiculous detours
WARNING: will spam advertise for 3rd party ads. Received notice that I'll get 6 months of NY times if opting into Via pass. Can't find how to turn off in settings.
* Airport pickup screen now comes with a sleeker design and crystal clear instructions.
* Our bots are always tinkering away under the hood to speed things up.
