Ratings and reviews

Vivino has been a great app for years but the recent introduction of ads and a premium offering (that costs about the same as a Netflix subscription) is completely off the wall. The app has collected my scanning and rating data for years, they have gotten great value out of the reviews not to mention the frequent purchase of wine on Vivino. Very disappointed with this pivot.

It not just the fact you started with ads, but clicking on a particular wine, and having a loud, pop-up video ad for male strippers come on is such a brutal turn for an otherwise enjoyable app. Not sure why page inserts wouldn't be considered? The video ads are tacky and invasive... not the image or style you should convey with this platform. Highly suggest reconsidering what you show, this makes me want to try your premium services less, and I'd suspect I'm not alone.

What is this absolute garbage of ridiculously intrusive ads add-on? I bought a pro version over a decade ago. Now you come up with a new premium tier and shove ads down my throat? It's one thing to add new paid features, but to move the functionality that is essential to the use of the app behind a paywall? And where did you come up with that pricing strategy? Do you not have stats on how often your users use the app? That's like over a dollar per scan for a lot of your users, sure is for me

What's new

The newest version of the app allows you to control your Followers list even more so you can stay safe while using Vivino. You can prevent unwanted users from following you and seeing your profile, as well as manage blocked users from your settings. As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions, please let us know.
