If you purchased an Advance ticket to travel on a TfW service (for all or part of your journey) using the app or website, and have opted in then you’re covered by our automatic Delay Repay scheme if your train is delayed or cancelled. This means no forms to fill in to claim any compensation you may be entitled to.

Ratings and reviews

It's okay, but it doesn't inspire confidence. You only have one option for getting your e-ticket, and I chose the mobile app. But if the mobile app crashes on the day of travel, you're doomed. There's no way to add a backup on Google Wallet and you never get emailed the PDF ticket, so using TfW is extremely high risk. Also, there's a bug where if you select a Railcard on desktop, there's literally no way to double check which Railcard you added before you buy. A high risk booking app.

App is great when it works, but app doesn't work when trying to purchase tickets. I've reinstalled numerous times, tried different payment methods/cards, but still have to go online, such a frustrating app to use! As for the live updates, these are pointless, never had one come through before my journey only when I get off the train the other end, just remove it. TFW please don't use your generic response advising to call you, just sort out the issues for once.

Can you app a feature so I can get notifications if stations/the line is down? It also doesn't give explanations as to why stations are closed. Also make sure you get your tickets at least thr day before or they sometimes double or triple in price on the day. The whole "Late bird also gets the worm" is a load of bull. also GWR is a complete rip off. You can pay more than TFW prices on his App. Also the other day I tried to make a delay claim and the app changed itself to be all in Welsh...
