Each player's island connects to form a sandbox archipelago!
This is a sandbox game where each player owns and develops their own island.
It's not just about development; you might also cooperate with others or even wage war.
This game doesn't have a "win" condition.
However, a ranking based on island population is displayed, so aiming for the top of that ranking is the primary objective.
Of course, you can also develop your island at your own pace without worrying about rankings.
Even "at your own pace" won't be easy, as numerous difficulties, including natural disasters, await you...
This game has a history as "Hakoniwa Shima" (Miniature Islands).
Developed by Hiroki Tokuoka in 1997 and distributed under copyleft, it gained popularity due to its ability to be modified and redistributed.
It was a representative work during the CGI game boom of the 1990s and is recognized as one of the oldest and most popular CGI games.
4Gamer.net praises it for its many strategic elements and says it's on par with packaged products.
"Partially quoted from Wikipedia, "Hakoniwa Shima""
The objective is to control and develop your island's population, funds, food, etc.
Develop your island by reclaiming land from the sea and clearing forests, and increase its population.
You can do a wide variety of things, including attack commands, domestic affairs, and diplomacy.
This isn't just a game that appeals to nostalgia; it's a sophisticated simulation game with a well-developed system.
It also features challenging troubles such as natural disasters and monster appearances.
You might not know what to do at the beginning, but if you follow the tutorial in the "Other" tab, you'll understand the fun as your funds increase.
There's also a simple message board, so feel free to ask others if you have any questions or if you're short on funds or food.

For those who are thinking, "I want to start now."
"So many turns have passed, isn't it too late to start now?"
Many people may have this question and hesitate to start the game.
However, it's not too late at all.
This game doesn't depend on the number of turns taken.
There are three reasons for this:
The maximum size of the island is fixed.
There are various natural disasters and monster attacks, so even the top island can't be complacent.
Ultimately, placement and design are the most important.
That's right. Especially as the third reason states,
the design and placement of your island are the most important things in this game,
"Island Giveaway ~Miniature Islands SE~".
Because there's a limit to how much your island can expand, anyone can become number one, no matter when they join.
The number of turns taken simply represents the elapsed time.
There's no advantage for those who started from turn 1.
And of course, there's no need to obsess over rankings. Just decorate your island however you like.
It's fun and relaxing no matter when you start!
Right now, as a welcome gift for new participants, we're giving away your starting funds and food as follows:
Normally: 100 billion yen, 10,000 tons → Celebration: 200 billion yen, 100,000 tons
So, let's get started! Start the game by registering a new island!
////////////////////////////////
The game is based on "Hakoniwa Isshu SE".
When looking up information on the wiki, please refer to Hakoniwa Isshu SE.
One turn is one hour.
If you remain in "Funding" mode for 100 turns, the island will be considered abandoned and will be destroyed.
If you wish to pause your game for various reasons but want to keep your data, it is possible to have it suspended and stored by the administrator.
In that case, please request a suspension on the bulletin board.
Normally, it will be suspended for about one month, or for the period you specify if you wish.
There are two types of servers available: a "peaceful" server where you leisurely develop your island and compete to see who can develop the most, and a "war" server where you fight each other in your island.
Past Update History (Partial):
12/08 19:00 - Server Recovery and Twitter Account Creation
The server went down about an hour after I last checked, and it took a full day to recover. I'm sorry.
Therefore, in case of any unforeseen circumstances, I've created a Twitter account so you can send messages like "Please recover it!"
Please let me know via direct message or tweet if you think the recovery is taking a long time.
I know this is relying on others, but thank you for your cooperation.
The account name is @shimaagemasu!
11/25 12:00 - Tax Revenue Corrections
Regarding tax revenue, I changed the selection from the larger of (people who can work outside of agriculture, power plant size) to the smaller of the two.
Tax revenue is now prioritized for agricultural workers. The rest is allocated to industry, commerce, and mining.
If the population is 100, agriculture is 60, commerce is 50, and the power plant size is 30, then initially 60 people will engage in agriculture, and the remaining 40 will be involved in commerce.
Furthermore, comparing power generation (30) and commerce (40), the smaller value of 30 becomes tax revenue.
For example, if agriculture exceeds the population, everyone will engage in agriculture, resulting in no tax revenue.
The cost of the ship destruction command has been changed from 50 billion to free.
11/17 12:00 - Changes to the scoring formula, addition of city maintenance costs, etc.
It seems the calculation method has been corrected to the correct one.
Military technology = Number of missile magazines + Number of missile bases × 2 + Number of underwater bases × 3 + Total durability of underwater defense facilities
The number of digits in the Prosperity Award and Disaster Award was one digit too many, so it has been reduced. Nice job, Urushi-san!
Experience points are now awarded when destroying pirate ships with missiles. Experience points are random. Maintenance costs will now be incurred for underwater cities, surface cities, and disaster prevention cities.
Underwater cities, surface cities: 3 billion yen per turn
Disaster prevention cities: 12 billion yen per turn
The appearance rate of Zoras has been reduced to 0.5%. It was too frequent lol
The breakdown of surplus food was incorrectly displayed, so it has been corrected. (Previous: Only processed goods prices were displayed; Now: The combined price of processed and unprocessed goods is displayed)
The warp fix is a deep-seated problem that I couldn't resolve alone, so we are currently discussing it.
