Import Fails I have yet to be successful of performing even ONE import. I added one wine with the mobile application, then did an export. After that, I attempted to import the exact same file (no additions, with one change in the name of the "Producer" field to correct the spelling. However, it would not import even THAT file with no other changes. So unless you plan on entering everything MANUALLY, I find the import routine not worth the effort.
Works for me! I downloaded this app so I would have a way of remembering the wines I've tested/tasted. It's great for the documenting. I can look back and see how my taste buds "trend". The ability to take pics of the bottles is great too. For someone like me who forgets a lot but wants to recall what I've liked....this is a good app. I can't give it a give star because I'm not a wine connoisseur, so I don't know if it's missing anything.
1st App tried I won't need to switch or move to another. I've not had any function problems with this app. With the exception of a few local wines, I've been able to find the wines I like. The only thing I don't like is that on a rare occasion I have found duplicate wines in the database. I'm left trying to figure out what is what.
So far so good... A career server, I downloaded this app to help me collect and organize tasting notes and other information on the various wines we have available in the restaurant. So far it has helped me not only present guests with a better description of our products, but has also helped increase my overall understanding of regional and varietal characteristics.
Almost perfect. When you press "add to my wines" none of the reviews or winemaker notes carry over to your personal wine list. That is a big fault because these are the ones I want to know about and refer to regularly. I love the buttons that indicate to buy and how many bottles I own. I'm not into the social aspect, but critic reviews are appreciated.
Lost All Notes Used this App to keep track of the wines I tried, liked, disliked, etc. A few weeks ago when I opened the App I got a message saying that trial free period ia over?? Huh, what?? After 2+ years?? It now displays as WS Lite not as Wine Secretary. I never was given the option to upgrade or anything?? All my notes, images, gone, wiped, .... two years of info gone. Didn't realise there was an option for back-up until now. Well done WS. Looking for a new App. Uninstalled!!
