Fast accurate and most up to date info on every topic from world news to politics or even the latest on NYSE. I wouldn't waste my time on anything else. Still the best current news and I information source a buisy lifestyle. Always shows me what I want even if I don't have a whole lot of time. And in my opinion the WSJ still has some of the bravest journalist that are not afraid to write about what's really going on on Wall Street as well as all around the world.
While I love WSJ content and the clean look of the app overall, the ads are difficult to not tap while scrolling. While I'd gladly pay more to avoid ads altogether, I just wish they didn't interfere with usability, not to mention the poor security, increased bandwidth, and decreased perf. Then on top of that, had to call and convince a human to let me unsubscribe (to whom I gave this same feedback). Why is it so hard to get these news companies to the 21st century? It's possible to have professional reporting *and* technologically advanced delivery, is it not?
Application stability seems to have been improved over time. It occasionally prompting for my login though. Mobile phone version doesn't have all the news in web version or tablet version. This application puts opinions above financial news, like most News Corp's media. I subscribe to wsj for financial news, not people's partisan political views. Lucky, financial news section still reports financial news.
This is the gold standard of what a news app should be. Navigation is intuitive and previous editions are easy to obtain. Each new release seems to have some sort of bug but to WSJs credit they seem to be fixed quickly. Some pre-release quality control wouldn't hurt. Recent stability issues are also a concern.
New in WSJ version 3.10:
- Seven new push notification categories to follow topics that interest you
- A smooth scrollbar to indicate an article's length and your reading position
- Fix to allow you to zoom in on images opened in full-screen mode
- Fixes for missing thumbnail images and memory and data usage
Note: New users will now be defaulted to the U.S. edition; change your edition in Settings
