Music Note Trainer is a fun and easy to use tool designed to help you learn to sight read music and increase your speed in identifying notes.

Use Practice mode to train yourself to identify notes using music flash cards. When you're ready check out Play mode and race against the clock to identify notes as quickly as possible. Try and beat your high score and see if you can go fast enough to get a gold star!

Music Note Trainer currently includes the treble and bass clefs, sharps, and flats. More features including scales and key signatures are in development.

Ratings and reviews

It's good for helping you learn the stave. Some additions would be great. When you play a piano key it would be better if it played the note. The letters, sharps and flats are very small, C and G can be easily confused they really need making bigger. Getting the time down is hard because of recognising where the right button is to answer, they move positions. I'm at the stage where I instantly know the note but spend longer searching for the answer button.

Real nice app. Easy to use. Would be better of the scales included the left ✋ too. Not as much practice for the left ✋ as there is for the right. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Will update if this is fixed. 😊

I love the simplicity of this app. I tried the three others that came up in my search, and this was by far the best. I'm a music teacher just starting with young kids. I would love to give five stars, but I think there is more development needed. I look forward to singing many items of feedback through their "feature request" option (another reason this it's the best among the competition).
