PalayLab is a mobile application powered with Machine Learning for detecting rice plant diseases and pests. Started as a passion project-turned-research by three Computer Science students, this project helped local farms in Cagayan de Oro speed up identification of rice plant diseases and pests in their own rice fields. The project aimed to also introduce rice farming to those who aren't into farming by uploading an existing image from their mobile phones.
Point your camera to a rice plant or select an existing image and get results real-time. You also get to know more information about the pest or disease and get statistics of predictions made daily, weekly, or all time.
Project is proudly powered by TensorFlow and sponsored by TensorFlow Research Cloud for TPUs provided for training. Authentication and real-time database is powered by Firebase.
