The George Municipality Citizen Engagement Application allows the Municipality to effectively connect, communicate with, and service citizens across all socio-economic strata by delivering mobile application services to every type of mobile phone (smart and non-smart) and all digital devices.

The benefits of using direct channels of communication, particularly via mobile devices, for the Municipality is fourfold: the technology can improve management; it promotes a greater understanding of Citizens; it reduces the costs of public participation and ultimately it will improve service delivery.

• Click to Call – A list of important contact numbers for the Municipality’s various divisions that can easily be dialled directly from the App
• Twitter Feed – In App access to the Municipality’s Twitter communications
• Feedback – Option to send any type of Feedback directly to the Municipality
• Share – Ability to virally Share the App with your friends and family

Ratings and reviews

Any app you have to re-install to get working is a failure. Great functionality for a great municipality, but the app developer should return the tax money and make things work. Basic sign on doesn't even send a confirmation email.

The review section shows that there are 14 reviews but only 3 are available to read? The app itself - whilst it's a good idea it REMAINS riddled with bugs ie. I'm receiving notifications from last month and the beginning of this month [30 days ago]

This app makes living in George perfect, easy to use and the municipality responds almost instantly to faults. You have to download it if you live in George, as well as all news updates from the municipality. Excellent App
