There are a lot of settings and changes to be done before the App can work, which is frustrating. I lost a few days trying to figure it out. It also takes about 24h before the information of your driving is updated, which left me wondering if it was working or not, causing me to change more settings and run in circles. Figured it out now and seems to be ok

App requires background running and 24/7 location sharing for its "smart drive" feature. Outsurance sales agents lie about the location tracking needed for their "smart drive" feature. In order to use the smart drive feature you have to give the app the ability to run in the background and track your every move. If you disable it your discount gets removed.

Yes, it is correct that SmartDrive requires your location to be Always On-this is so that the app can monitor when you start driving and then record your trip.

Waste of data, storage and time. Smartdrive calculation is a rip off. Salesman said it's 100% accurate if you drive 200km. I've driven more than 1000km and it still says I'm on 52% complete despite all settings are correct on my device. All locations enabled 24/7, reinstalled the app,fully updated on all apps and gone to a point where i restarted my device and left the app open while I drove and still not accurate at all.Outsurance has lost their touch and as a client for many years,im switching
