Teta Messenger allows you to privately chat with your pals, share photos and files as well as meet new people in our mobile chat rooms at no data/airtime cost to yourself as long as you are accessing the service via a participating mobile network service provider. Currently, only Vodacom SA (in South Africa) subscribers will be able to experience the service without incurring any data or airtime costs. Kindly note that you must still have Mobile Data turned on for Teta to work.
The idea here is to remove the communication cost 'barrier' and bridge the communication gap. Keep people connected and keep the conversation going while simultaneously providing timeous, meaningful, relevant and valuable commercial information to our subscribers.
Please note that new participating mobile networks will be communicated via our website and within the app when relevant and that for now all other mobile network based subscribers will be billed as per normal chat data billing - the data free element officially launched on the 1st of July 2016 in South Africa on Vodacom SA.
