DATA SOURCES
Data used within the AfricaWeather app is sourced from a number of data sources including observations from Airports and forecasts generated by industry leading forecast ensembles that use all major global weather models to produce the most accurate forecast available. Storm information is generated from lightning activity detected through our own high resolution lightning detection network.

Ratings and reviews

The whole interface stutters when scrolling upward! Seriously, get with the times and leave old android versions behind. And the picture keeps changing (jumping between pictures). That, or learn to code better!

The new app is terrible and I would like to revert to the previous version - is this possible? The new app links to different and less accurate data (I have compared directly with a colleague who has not updated the app) and the storm tracker visualisation is utterly useless. Please go back to the old version...

Nice app. User friendly. Beautiful pics to relay rhe weather outside... Only problem is the weather outside does not look like the pictures do. I understand however that these are merely pictures and measuring the weather takes more than a simple app. 4 out of 5. Still best weather app for Africa.
