At HACC we offer four distinct, but seamlessly interconnected programs: our Middle School Academy, Alternative High School, Teen-Parent Program (complete with child development center for infants and toddlers), and Adult Education Program for ABE/GED and ESOL.
The Middle School Academy at Hallandale Adult Community Center helps students classified as over age 8th graders. Grade level recovery and promotion are the primary goals for enrolled students. We offer students the opportunity to accelerate their learning, enter high school on track, and graduate with a standard high school diploma.
The Alternative High School at HACC is the optimal school for students who require a personalized learning environment in order to earn a standard high school diploma. Our “VIP+Diploma” partnership with local Technical centers allows students to study a specific trade at a Tech center, while earning their high school diploma at the same time.
The Teen-Parent Program at HACC enables pregnant and parenting teens the experience of earning a standard high school diploma while also gaining valuable parenting skills. We provide students with free childcare in our award winning Child Development Center.
Our Adult Education Program includes ABE/GED classes and Adult Diploma programs for individuals seeking to earn their high school diploma or G.E.D. ESOL classes are also offered for adults who wish to learn English.
OCLC is a Broward County Public School that serves students ages 16-21 years old looking to earn a standard high school diploma in a non-traditional setting. There are several (7) locations throughout Broward County. Students who are attempting to recover credits, are over-age for a certain grade, are attempting to improve their GPA, or who have just re-engaged with their studies are usually referred to OCLC by their counselors and/or administrators.
