The long-awaited Version 4.0 update is here

Explore a new corner of Teyvat and its mysteries thanks to the Version 4.0 update. This exciting new chapter of Genshin Impact brings with it a captivating exploration of the region of Fontaine, along with powerful new friends and foes.

Splendid landscapes – and seascapes – await you and Paimon in Fontaine. This technologically advanced “Nation of Justice” is home to the imposing Court of Fontaine, where you might just catch a live performance that presents more than meets the eye. As the domain of the Hydro Archon, you’ll also have a chance to explore an underwater world full of new adventures.

There’s a strong lineup of events in Version 4.0, including exploration quests you can start on day one. The main event is the Mechanical Marionette Melee, full of underwater time trials, musical battles, and slime puppets. For most events, you’ll need to reach Adventure Rank 20 and meet other eligibility requirements to participate.

One of Version 4.0’s most anticipated additions is the introduction of Lyney, a new five-star Pyro character with a talent for sleight of hand and stealing hearts. He’s poised to become a powerful addition to your team. Other new additions to the gacha pool are his sister, Lynette, a four-star Anemo and magician’s assistant; and the return of Yelan, a five-star Hydro with a mysterious identity.

During Phase 2, you’ll once again have the chance to acquire two five-star favorites, Zhongli and Tartaglia. Zhongli has a mysterious past and impressive elemental skills you can add to your team, while Tartaglia – aka Childe – brings his youthful Harbinger energy and destructive power back into the fold.
