The first step to evolving a character is to obtain their specific fragments by opening different types of chests, participating in special events, and competing in daily/weekly challenges. This option might be a little taxing because the extent of the rewards you obtain will depend on your performance. If all else fails, you can even purchase the fragments in the shop with your hard-earned coins.

You can use coins to rank up your characters. You'll get 10,000 coins by default when you start, but as the game progresses, you'll need to earn more. The most common way for you to earn coins is by winning matches and completing daily or weekly quests.
