Advanced tips for your Minecraft journey

Advanced tips for your Minecraft journey

After a few sessions, you'll start to understand what it takes to survive successfully in Minecraft. However, if you want to take the game to the next level, this guide is for you.
If you are a regular in Minecraft, this guide will help you explore new areas and make things simpler for you in the long run. With these advanced tips, you'll have an extra edge in your Minecraft survival run.

Torches are your best friend

A torch is the most versatile resource for you. It will light dark areas, keep you safe from light-sensitive mobs, help you mine sand and gravel quickly, and much more.
Crafting a torch in Minecraft is easy: Take a stick and a single piece of coal or charcoal to a crafting table, and you'll have your torch. Be sure to build as many torches as you can, as early as you can.

Be mindful of how you mine

Mining can be dangerous if you're not careful. Imagine, you're on a roll, mining resources and collecting materials, when suddenly you look back and realize there's no way out of the hole you just created!
Always make sure you leave platforms or stairs to get you back to the surface after mining is completed. Any materials you mine won't mean much if you can't take them up to properly use them.

Build your bed early

Beds in Minecraft serve a better purpose than sleeping. They’re essential to Survival mode for one key reason: they’re your spawn points should you die in the wilderness. Without a bed, you would spawn back at the spot you began your adventure.
If you forget a bed, you’ll lose all the progress you have made through multiple biomes and go all the way back to your initial starting spot.

Remember to eat!

Survival mode is all about survival in a hostile world, and food is essential for that. If you don't eat timely, your hunger will slowly grow and your health will decrease.
Keep some food in your inventory at all times, or remember to hunt livestock you find on your adventure. You can also obtain food via farming, cooking (furnace or crafting), or looting villages or dungeon chests.

Find redstone ASAP!

As you progress, you’ll build items that can utilize electricity to perform more advanced functions. Redstone will help you power these tools. It has electrical capabilities, so it can be combined with certain items to activate them.
If used correctly, you may be able to eventually automate some processes using redstone tools, which will make your game immeasurably easier to survive.
