About this audiobook

The Timeless Novel About a Bus Ride from Hell to Heaven

In The Great Divorce, C.S. Lewis again employs his formidable talent for fable and allegory. The writer finds himself in Hell boarding a bus bound for Heaven. The amazing opportunity is that anyone who wants to stay in Heaven, can. This is a starting point for an extraordinary meditation upon good and evil, grace and judgment. Lewis’s revolutionary idea is the discovery that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside. Using his extraordinary descriptive powers, Lewis’s The Great Divorce will change the way we think about good and evil.

C.S. Lewis puts reality into perspective. Are the things in our life a reality or are they only real to us because we "keep" them as our own? Reality is what is Good and Good isn't holding on to things that keep us from being our true self. This read should inspire us to find the skeleton in our closets and bury it the earth. This dusty dirty place which we hold onto. Be free of all the things that keep us from loving others and drag us to hell. Embrace that reality is Good. Good is an solid thing that won't take forms that hold us or any others back from true form. God doesn't want us to hold onto things that would only keep us from doing more good to others. Selfishness and Pride keep us from our true form which makes us lights to the world.

I very much enjoyed the narration. It helped as I read along to keep it moving as well as more understandable.
