About this audiobook

To The Young Believer is written to new Christians, meeting them right at the commencement of their journey.

The Lord desires for us to know Him deeply and intimately, and God has reserved a place inside every believer for this very purpose. It is in the believer's spirit that we truly get to know the Lord and it is there that He transforms us.

The Christian life is a spiritual life, not an intellectual or emotional one, or one of many religious activities. Therefore, we must learn to know Christ in our spirit. The believer's life is centred upon a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.

To The Young Believer will take you on a spiritual journey to the innermost part of you, where Jesus Christ now lives and dwells with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. There you will meet with Him and find yourself wanting nothing more than to know Him for the rest of your days.

Young Christian, you have just embarked on the most amazing adventure possible!

Drawing on colourful imagery, To The Young Believer offers the young Christian the following:

- Practical assistance with ways of knowing the Lord intimately

- Clear, easy to understand explanations to reveal spiritual realities using everyday examples

- Insights not commonly taught in the modern institutional church setting

- Tools to assist with growing strong roots for ongoing spiritual growth

About the author

At the time of writing this book, Donna lives with her husband Derek in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Although "giving her heart to Jesus" at the age of six in 1973, it wasn’t until she was in her early forties that Donna truly began to know the Lord Jesus deeply by a revelation of Him as the All in all.

Both Donna and Derek were called out from institutional church life around 2003, which led them into what she now describes as knowing Christ as the most capable Head of His church, His body. Together, they enjoy sharing Christ with other believers in an organic way. They are devoted to supporting others to know the Lord more deeply, especially in the setting of the local ecclesia.

She has been writing on her blog site drawingfromthewell.org since 2014, where she shares her ongoing discoveries of the wonders of Christ. She writes with a heart for the weary Christian sojourner and a desire for believers to see the Lord in a much bigger way than ever before. She and Derek also co-host their own podcast on theancientpathways.com.

To her utter delight, Donna confesses she is still getting to know the Lord and claims she will never arrive at the end of Him, of course, His riches being unsearchable.

She says the Christian life can be likened to some lyrics by 1970’s Christian rock artist, the late Larry Norman;

When you know a wonderful story, you don’t let it go unsaid. You tell it to your children as you tuck them in to bed. Cause when you know a wonderful secret, you tell it to your friends, because a life time filled with Jesus is like a street that never ends.

Sweet Song of Salvation (Upon This Rock, 1969)
