    I would love to hear the rest of this book. I have experienced extreme panic attacks ever since I was 16 years old I am 53 now and they are getting worse in these last few months. I know there’s an answer for them besides medication I would love to be able to afford this book I think it may have the answer for me. I’ve tried everything from meditation if anyone has any information about any of the symptoms I just explain to you please get back with me I am in desperate need of help the doctors have no idea to medication. They just seem to get worse and they are lasting up to three days now nonstop and I have spurts of memory of them happening.

    This book takes an extremely simple and clear route to guiding you towards building habits but my favorite thing about it is that it feels more like a conversation with an everyday person who is passionate about a subject and less like a scholar/expert lecturing you. Clear has a really casual and direct voice and draws on excellent examples and metaphors to make concepts clear. I also love that it was less of a "4-step plan to habits" and more of a holistic process that includes things understanding how your self-identity plays into it and how different types of habits and changes pose different issues for different people and that there isn't a single answer. His system-oriented approach really allows for a broad set of applications. Add to that his well-organized set of online resources like his cheatsheet and habit journal make it easy to incorporate these systems.

    For those of us who KNOW what to do but just can't seem to do it for ourselves! Breaks habits down into small do-able components and allows you to install mechanisms for success in small bites vs. focusing on the goal. Explains why focus on the goal doesn't always work so why you can know but not do. Really motivates you to action and gives you the tools to take action. EVERY coach should read this book. I wish I had this info when I was an athlete.
