About this audiobook

THE FIRST NOVEL IN LEE CHILD'S #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING JACK REACHER SERIES—NOW AN ORIGINAL SERIES ON PRIME VIDEO!

“From its jolting opening scene to its fiery final confrontation, Killing Floor is irresistible.”—People

Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He’s just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he’s arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn’t kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn’t stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

Mr. Lee Child is obviously a skilled, prolific, and educated writer. All I've heard is great things about the Reacher protagonist. But it got really boring, really quickly, when I learned he was wrongly arrested in one of those crummy Southern states that includes itself among the "Bible Belt" region. I sure hope that Mr. Reacher was NOT arrested due to his National Origin---whatever it may be---and I hope and pray he is exonerated of the crime he is falsely accused of. Otherwise, I would expect better of Lee Child, as well as the State of Georgia. 😏 😒 😪

I read this book back in the fall of 2013 while I was incarcerated in a county jail in Idaho. I was so hyped throughout the entire book that after reading it I was instantly looking for the second Jack Reacher Novel. I read 3 books from this series in 1 1/2 months. I have never even finished a full book in my entire life. I was hooked from the first chapter. I went from county jail to the prison for a whole year and by the time I was released in the summer of 2014 I had read all but 3 books from the series. And that was only because I had no access to them. I have read books by other authors from that point but I will have to say that Lee Child is by far my favorite Author. The Jack Reacher novels are the best story line I've read as well. I own both movies and I enjoyed them both. All except for the actor who was chosen to play the role of Jack Reacher. Don't get me wrong Tom Cruise is a good actor and I enjoyed a lot of his movies. But he just doesn't fit the part of a 6'5" man with huge arms and legs. Not someone who can break another man's neck or crush his skull with just a blow from his elbow. Tom Cruise would break his own elbow if he tried that on me!! I believe if they are planning to make another movie then they should replace the actor for someone who is taller and bigger-(muscle wise)-Maybe the Dewayne "The Rock" Johnson.
