Audiobook review: Good for people who want a thrilling fantasy lord of the Rings tale but have no qualms with some repetitive words or cling hangers(All fiction has some form of cling hanger otherwise you would be less likely to be enticed to read the next chapter) This is perfect for a long commute to work or doing household chores or jogging or just eating dinner while headphones on

The story in itself is a good one, though the repetitiveness of life and death situational cliff hangers in every book almost every other chapter is draining. There are a few inconsistencies in the story. I'm not sure if the performer is so into the story he says the wrong name but he does it 3 notable times and it really pulls you out of the story. Also Kyle being captured and all of a sudden next book it's as if no such event occurred is the biggest flaw of this series and the author.

As this is my first audio book I was unsure of what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Good story line with a wide range of chatecters although some times limited by the story teller. Wording is very basic and repetitive at times however this may be dependant on the age group the book is written for and level of understanding. Having read many books by Terry Pratchett there is a vast and noticeable difference in the language used and feeling the story conveys. Hopefully the other books in the series will further build on a good story line and expand the readers minds.
