This was Easton Bailey & Hadley's story. Easton is happy with his bachelor status and he doesn't plan to settle like all his friends have. He is cheeky, funny and also caring. He never sees the same woman twice except for his Friend (with benefits). I think that should have been a clue for both of them. Hadley is that friend. Hadley is a free spirit and she has never settled in one place. She travels all over the world. I loved her happy character, the way she easily takes on her responsibilities, even if she doesn't know what she is doing. She never thought she would ever settle and that's what her grandma feared. So after her grandma passed she left her beloved bookstore to Hadley. Only problem, Hadley needs to get married for real to get the shop. Simultaneously Easton is left with a cute little baby boy 'Tanner' as his son. He doesn't know who the mother is and doesn't have a clue how to be a father. Voila ✨ Hadley will be the babysitter for Tanner if Easton becomes her husband. For this to work they had rules but as time went on, those rules were getting hard to keep. I enjoyed watching them both learning together and being each others strength. The chemistry was strong and deep down I think they both always had something there. It was a slow burn though, so you will have to be patient but worth it. Loved the friendship groups and how the ladies all took her in without hesitating. Ooohhh! Ladies, I was not expecting that big twist and drama. That was wow 😳. I feel like this series has gone by too quick and I'm going to miss them 😭. Piper & Rayne have given us another fantastic series, I really don't know how you do it. But I think through every single series, Ruby has been the star haha. As always the Audioboooks are always the top quality with multi narrators. They all make it feel like it's a movie and real. Connor is one my favourite so him being Easton was so good. Christine was vulnerable, happy, emotional and everything Hadley needed her to be.

Piper Rayne saved the best for last with The Troublemaker, the incredible conclusion to the Dugout Series! I’ve been anticipating Easton’s story for so long, and this charismatic shortstop did not disappoint. A single dad needing a caregiver meets a woman who needs a husband to please her family? Sign me up. The forced proximity and marriage-of-convenience dynamics were top-tier, and watching their fake relationship turn into real love gave me all the feels. An absolute 5-star must-read!

A delightful addition to the series! Easton and Hadley's story is sweet, emotional, fun, and engaging. They are perfect together. It's a great fake relationship romance. The supporting cast is impressive., and it’s great to see characters again from the previous books. This audiobook is narrated by a full cast who deliver an entertaining performance, bringing the story and characters to life. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
