About this audiobook

From the British Museum to the streets of Rome, a thrilling hunt for the truth.

Calla Cress has been searching for her missing parents for her entire life. She thought the mystery was long buried, but when a two-thousand-year-old manuscript with an unbreakable code lands in her hands, she is suddenly thrust into a desperate race against time.

As the British Museum curator deciphers the cryptic message, she becomes the target of a secret government agency enemy determined to keep the truth hidden at all costs. When the manuscript vanishes in Berlin, Calla realizes that the key to her family's disappearance may be encoded in the ancient text.

With no time to lose, Calla, NSA security advisor Nash Shields, and tech entrepreneur Jack Kleve set off on a globe-trotting mission to decode the riddle and uncover a shocking technological breakthrough. But as she battles against skilled assassins and unravels the layers of deceit, she realizes that nothing in the modern or ancient world is as it seems.

As the clock ticks down, Calla must risk everything to solve the mystery of her missing parents and prevent a dangerous new world from being unleashed. This is a race against time that she cannot afford to lose.

I am sorry but AI narration might be in the future, but this narration was very hard to follow. I liked the books storyline but it lost me in translation.

About the author

Rose Sandy never set out to be a writer. She set out to be a communicator with whatever landed in her hands. But soon the keyboard became her best friend. Rose writes suspense and intelligence thrillers where technology and espionage meet history in pulse-racing action adventure. She dips into the mysteries of our world, the fascination of technology breakthroughs, the secrets of history and global intelligence to deliver thrillers that weave suspense, conspiracy and a dash of romantic thrill.

A globe trotter, her thrillers span cities and continents. Rose’s writing approach is to hit hard with a good dose of tension and humor. Her characters zip in and out of intelligence and government agencies, dodge enemies in world heritage sites, navigate technology markets and always land in deep trouble.

When not tapping away on a smartphone writing app, Rose is usually found in the British Library scrutinizing the Magna Carta, trolling Churchill’s War Rooms or sampling a new gadget. Most times she’s in deep conversations with ex-military and secret service intelligence officers, Foreign Service staff or engrossed in a TED talk with a box of popcorn. Hm... she might just learn something that’ll be useful.
