Book 2 in The Fold series by Sabrina B Scales Chad is the son of a minister and a playboy but a good guy. On a night out he meets Taya a singer in a band that is making it name known. I love that even though Chad is a playboy and not looking for love but the pull was too much. Taya is a great character and I love that she strong independent but has a dark unhappy past that she struggles with. Absolutely love this series it’s funny and soulful at same time. It’s is based around a religious family with the father as a minister so there’s a lot of talk about god and surrounding church. There also the N word which I’m not a fan of but thankfully it’s not said every page.
