Scott A. Cunneen, MD, FACS, is Director of Bariatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University, where he was awarded membership in the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Nancy Sayles Kaneshiro is a freelance writer and publicist, based in Los Angeles, California. Stephanie A. Dunbar, MPH, RD, holds a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University and a Master of Public Health in Nutrition from the University of Michigan. She is currently the Director of Medical Affairs at the American Diabetes Association and lives in Virginia. Cassandra L. Verdi, MPH, RD, holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Miami University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is currently the Associate Director of Medical Affairs at the American Diabetes Association and lives in Washington, D.C. Neil M. Scheffler, DPM, FACFAS, is a podiatrist in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a past president for Health Care and Education of the American Diabetes Association, Mid-Atlantic Region.
