The narrator does a decent enough performance, though occasionally is slow to transition back from character voices between sentences. The story itself is one of Stephen King’s worse ones. It’s by no means a horror story, rather a sci-fi-lite pulp. It isn’t a boring story, but neither is it an engrossing one. If there are other Stephen King books you haven’t read, start there. Then, once you’re out of books to read, you can give this one a try.

Stephen King is the author of more than sixty books, all of them worldwide bestsellers.
