All the stars, hearts, and confetti! DAGGERBOUND made me extraordinarily happy! I loved every single moment I spent inside this story. A few of the highlights: ➛Equal parts fun and serious ➛Emotional depth ➛Memorable characters ➛Found family ➛Layered plot, with subtleties and complexities ➛Deliciously sweet, slow-burn M/M romance I was initially surprised at the choice of a female narrator for a book with two male main characters. But that thought was only a passing blip. Jesse Vilinsky is phenomenal. Truly, her range of voices, accents, and emotions deserves extra stars. I was riveted and did not want to stop listening. DAGGERBOUND is the second book in T. Kingfisher’s Swordheart series. I think it reads fine as a stand alone, but read book 1, SWORDHEART, because it’s way too good to miss. A sweet, funny romantasy, this sequel stands alone & is one of the most adorable stories I’ve ever read. I loved every character. Kingfisher’s writing makes me feel like I'm right there living these events with our characters, in whatever ridiculous, dangerous, or heartwarming situations they get themselves in. The story starts slowly, but gains momentum & becomes hard to put down. Read If you enjoy fantasy stories with found family, comedy, adventure, & slow-burn MM romance. Fantastic narration
