About this audiobook

A damaged ship, a dying shipmate–can she save them both?

Under attack! The flight back to Hyvilma should have been the easy part for the crew of the Majera–until a deadly ambush by pirates sends them reeling through hyperspace. Now getting to the planet in time is the only way Captain Kitra Yilmaz can save her dying friend.

But landing at Hyvilma may be impossible: war has broken out on the Frontier.

About the author

Lorelei Esther is a young woman taking on the world. The youngest Hugo Finalist in the history of the award, she is an accomplished artist, having started her comic career at age nine with the famous BlueBird (inspiration for the DC character of the same name). She has illustrated three books in The Kitra Saga and is the staff artist for Journey Press. She is an accomplished singer/songwriter, regularly performing live independently and with Galactic Journey. Her articles frequently appear on the Journey, and she has done two introductions for the lauded Rediscovery: Science Fiction by Women series. A fangirl and activist at heart, Lorelei hopes to leave an impression on the world by educating, inspiring, and providing for the community.

Founder of Journey Press, an independent publisher focused on unusual and diverse speculative fiction, four-time Hugo Finalist Gideon Marcus also runs the time machine project, Galactic Journey. He is a professional space historian, much sought after for his public speaking talents.

An acclaimed science fiction author, he is currently hard at work on Hyvilma, third book in The Kitra Saga. His short fiction can be found in Dark Matter, Utopia, Simultaneous Times, and elsewhere.

Gideon lives in San Diego County with his writer/editor wife and their polymath artist daughter…along with a cat, a snake, and an immense library.
