About this audiobook

Enjoy this free faith-filled cozy mystery by S.E. Biglow...

She'll need the courage of Daniel to survive this lion's den.

Reverend Margot Quade never expected to be dropped in the midst of a murder. She just wanted to get reacquainted with her hometown of Port Marie, Vermont, maybe find her place in the world again after serving her tour of duty. But when a friendly dinner with a member of her unit turns deadly, she's pulled into a mystery she can't help but solve.

Then things go from dead to worse when she and all the suspects are stuck in the victim's home during the worst snowstorm her little town has seen in decades. Now she'll need more than a prayer to discover the truth behind who wanted the victim out of the picture ... and to stay alive herself. To complicate matters, her strained relationship with her cousin, who just happens to be the attending officer, threatens to ruin the whole investigation.

Can Margot and her cousin set aside their differences and bring a killer to justice? Or will the real reason behind the murder haunt Margot as much as her past?

Enjoyable! I really liked this Christian mystery. It was good that it recognized the troubles of soldiers returning from war and the emotional strains, flash backs and PTSD they deal with. It also addressed what military families face when loved ones go off to war. Margot was inspirational in her role as a chaplain, trying to diffuse the difficult situation for all involved and keep them all centered on their faith and how God sees us through the trials of life and shows us our path.

This is as anti Christian as it gets. She wont mention God. She wont respect men and she caters to other faiths, instead of standing for her own. Plus protestants turned their backs on the true faith, the Catholic church.

This is the first book in the Reverend Margot Quade Cozy Mysteries Series, a Christian Cozy Mystery. This is a quick novella, well written, original, and fast-paced. The characters are great and intriguing. Stephanie Dillard has a beautiful voice, and she did an excellent job with the narration.
