Legionnaires (1993-2000) Issues
The battle against the menace of the Blight heats up in Part 2 of the 4-part "Legion of the Damned"! After being stranded in space for a month, Cosmic Boy, Monstress, Apparition, and Brainiac 5.1 return to Earth and find the planet completely dominated by the alien race known as the Blight. With half the Legion gone, the 30th century's remaining heroes realize they can't safeguard the galaxy alone, so (you knew this was coming)...it's time once again for the Legionnaire Try-Outs! An open audition means that Legion HQ is overrun with prospective applicants, many of them possessing more "personality" than actual ability. But by issue's end, several new Legionnaires are inducted to carry on the team's heroic tradition!
Aftermath. In the aftermath of Legion of Super-Heroes (1989 4th Series) #84, the team tries to pick up the pieces and assess who among them is injured, missing or dead--leading to a grim ceremony on the world of Shanghalla. But the Legionnaireshave little time to heal before the mystic crone Mysa returns, angered by the Legion's failure to secure the Emerald Eye.
Dr. Regulus escapes, forcing the Legion across the galaxy as they try to recapture him. But first, the team must battle its way through the Work Force! Brainiac 5 is lost in time; Legion headquarters is destroyed; and the United Planets is none too happy with the Legionnaires for harboring a guest from the 20th century...who's now trapped in the 30th!
