《初刻拍案驚奇》是明朝末年凌濛初編著的擬話本小說集，共四卷，為四十篇獨立的故事，完稿於明天啟七年（1627年）。其題材大多取自前代的《太平廣記》、《夷堅志》、《剪燈新話》、《剪燈餘話》等書，由於內容通俗，文詞簡練；故事情節曲折起伏，人物刻劃栩栩如生，受到人們喜愛及高度評價，後來又繼續創作《二刻拍案驚奇》，亦受到好評。
