 民國二十三年（1934）時，江亢虎來台灣旅遊，停留十幾天（8月22日－9月9日），遊歷台灣各地。返回中國之後，隔年出版《台遊追記》，寫出他在台灣遊歷的各種見聞及感想。全文分60節，約二萬字。《台遊追記》書寫使用的文體為當時已漸流行的白話文，但仍參雜許多文言文，為了便於現代讀者閱讀，筆者將原書翻譯為現代中文，並根據文中所述的景點，附以相關的老照片，以提供讀者閱讀時參考。
