This book is a fun addition for any learner (selfstudy or not) of the Korean language as long as they are able to read Hangul. Each chapter first introduces new vocabulary before giving the reader a small text to read. Comprehension is tested by little exercises to make sure you understood the gist of the text. The complexity of the texts increases slowly throughout the book. The biggest advantage this book has, in my opinion, is that it focuses only on vocabulary and reading comprehension, with no additional grammar exercises. It helps to develop a sense of how Korean sentences are built, and ultimately leads to more confidence when building your own. There's also no English translations beyond the vocabulary part, which is great! I recommend this book as an additional resource for people working with any of the more common textbook series such as 비타민 한국어 or TTMIK, but it's also a fun addition for anyone who's interested in solidifying their base knowledge of the Korean language.
