This steady paced plot keeps readers intrigued with suspense, drama and romance. The author describes the story with well written scenes and details that draw the reader deeper into the story as well an intriguing concept that inspires the reader’s curiosity. Tension builds as the danger to Rowan escalates from a jealous vampire and forces beyond her control. The chemistry between Rowan and Gabriel stills burns up the pages however the relationship is in jeopardy. Rowan has to discover for herself if she can accept that vampire’s and more are real, a crazed vampire who wants Gabriel for herself is still out to get her and if that’s not enough, she has to choose who to believe and who to trust because Gabriel’s soul is in jeopardy. This story is very complex with twists and turns and lots of characters that also have a stake in how Rowan and Gabriel’s relationship plays out. I found some of the twists a little confusing, but all my questions were answered. The author has created a story with an intriguing and complicated concept that draws the reader in and ensures that they want to know what is happening and I enjoyed the story and the great conclusion.

I loved this book but make sure you read Vampires Promise first. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an urban fantasy love story
