About this ebook

A witch who can’t trust her power.

A wolf who can’t trust his nose.

A serial killer who can vanish into the air.

What should have been a straightforward case is turning into anything but.

Someone is dumping bodies in the Florida Everglades after torturing the victims. There’s no posed positioning, or even an attempt to hide their handiwork, making a profile nearly impossible to develop. The locals know more than they do, and Eleri and Donovan can’t even link the victims.

When they start suspecting they are being followed, they reach out to other NightShade agents, only to discover the others have the same growing concerns they do. Why are some agents getting sent back to the Atlas Project while others are in the wind? Still, the case in front of them needs to be solved, even if there’s another wolf around.

How can they stop the murders when all the clues disappear into the vanishing point? This killer will drive them into the riskiest gamble of all.

Vanishing Point is the tenth book in the NightShade Forensic FBI Files series by USA Today bestselling author A.J. Scudiere. This book can be read as a standalone, but readers who love paranormal investigations and FBI thrillers will want to read the entire series!

A.J. Scudiere’s Nightshade series is a great example of the classic buddy mystery fiction housed in a very new dressing in with the detective’s being a werewolf and a witch. The chemistry between the main characters is strong and it is interesting to see them try and figure themselves out as they grow together and build their investigative skills. The NightShade Forensic Files: Vanishing Point (Book 10) is a great addition to the series because it shows the relationship grow between the main characters while they deal with a different kind of intelligent serial killer. The novel itself is full of atmosphere set in the Everglades in Florida and using the setting to further the action. The book has a complex plot with some interesting twists and turns. I highly recommend it and the whole series if you want something that both entertains and makes you think.

With Vanishing Point, AJ Scudiere has brought another incredible installment to the Nightshade Forensic Files series. She has deftly written another confusing case that Eleri and Donovan have to unravel. Of course, the reader is also drawn into trying to solve the case first. While I was able to decipher the general nature of the vanishing point, I delighted in reading how it truly occurred. It was much more mundane, yet believable, in a story that includes a witch and a werewolf. The shocking conclusion will leave all readers wanting more. It may also worry some long-time fans. I would highly recommend this book to all of Scudiere's fans, as well as all fans of supernatural thrillers. They will certainly not be disappointed.

Vanishing Point is the latest installment in the NightShade series by AJ Scudiere. I am hooked on this series, and I could not put down this one until I finished it! The action pulls you along, with cliffhangers, twists, turns, and surprises along the way. One thing I love about this series is that even though the NightShade FBI agents have special powers, their special powers are not enough to enable them to quickly solve every mystery or prevent harm from happening to literally any character--the agents still have to use good detective work to solve the case. You'll get the most enjoyment out of the story if you have read the prior installments, however, (and I say this because I'm now the kind of reader that forgets major plot points shortly after I finish reading any book), even if you dropped into this series with this novel as your first one, you'll be engaged and enthralled right to the end if you are a fan of crime stories with some paranormal elements. Then you'll go and start the series from the beginning because it's just that good.
