This book contains critical analyses of President Barack Obama’s foreign policy instruments toward Africa and suggests how to continue, strengthen, and modify these policy instruments. Each chapter starts with an introduction of the policy instrument, provides an analysis of the instrument, and concludes with suggestions. About the author

Abdul Karim Bangura is professor of research methodology and political science at Howard University. He is the author of 75 books and more than 600 scholarly articles. One of his recent books titled African Mathematics: From Bones to Computers (University Press of America, 2011) is the winner of the prestigious Cecil B. Curry Book Award for 2012. He has served as President and then United Nations Ambassador of the Association of Third World Studies.
