Grace counts her blessings at meeting Tom. He's good-looking, kind, considerate, caring. When Grace decides to ask him if he would like to move in with her, not everyone is happy. Her best friend sees something in him she doesn't like. Her parents aren't sure what to think. Things run smoothly for awhile ... but then he doesn't pay his fair share of the bills. He becomes a little more critical ... a little more demanding. He starts separating her from her family ... her friends ...even her job. But when he wraps his hands around her throat, she fears for her life. This is a tense, psychological thriller, with well-paced suspense culminating in an explosive ending. The characters are deftly drawn. This author has done his homework on domestic abuse and it's scary as all get out. Many thanks to the author for the digital copy of CLOSER TO YOU.
