We are reunited with the Bradens, yay! Well, one of them at least until almost halfway through the book! Savannah Braden has just found her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Determined to clear her head, she gets away from the city and goes on a survival course with no contact with the outside world. Group leader Jack Remington is still devastated by the death of his wife, for which he blames himself. Jack and Savannah instantly feel attracted to each other and fight their feelings. But the urge is too strong… Back in the real world, can they overcome their issues to begin a proper relationship? Readers who are already familiar with Addison Cole’s books will feel right at home with this one. The main characters are both trying to overcome sadness in order to move forward together and truly be themselves. The chapters are mostly split evenly between the two lovers’ perspectives so we catch a glimpse of their emotional turmoil which helps to explain their actions before seeing the repercussions of events from the alternative viewpoint. Jack and Savannah both have issues in their personal life which need to be addressed before they can find happiness. He needs to rebuild relationships with his family that he shut out due to his grief after the death of his wife. As always, it is lovely to catch up with the lead characters from previous books featuring the Bradens and trying t work out which member of the family will be the focus of the next book 🙂 However, the book is also contained so works perfectly well as a standalone. This book has less steamy details of the physical side to their relationship but the sex is implied so up to your own imagination! Promise of a New Beginning is a careful balance of love and lust, hope and heartache, sexiness and sweetness.

4 stars Promise of a New Beginning by Addison Cole is a beautiful and heartfelt read and I really enjoyed it. Jack and Savannah captured my heart with their story, I loved watching them interact and struggle with the feelings being near each other brought out. Jack has been living a very closed off life, he stepped away from his family and loved ones after losing his wife and after 5 years of not allowing himself to feel having this undeniable attraction/draw to Savannah has him questioning himself and life. I loved them together, Savannah is perfect for Jack. She was able to bring him peace and open his heart to let love and happiness back into his life. Promise of a New Beginning is an emotional and heartfelt read and a excellent addition to the Sweet with Heat: Weston Bradens series.

I loved Savannah and Jack's story. I loved the way that they each worked through what they were dealing with. Savannah was the jump start that Jack needed to get finally get past the death of his wife and the guilt that he had. I love that because of being ready to move on with things, Jack was able to fix things with those that he loved that he had pushed away. Savannah was the support and push that he needed, and Jack helped Savannah realize what love really was. Jack and Savannah may have had insta-love, and there are those that are skeptical of it, but sometimes you just know. Their story was well written.
