About the author

Aleen Jweinat is the author of Sip of Serenity. This is her second book My Green Swing where she wrote and illustrated it entirely by herself.

I believe there's something for everyone that makes them happy, something that brings delight no matter how small it is. This is a personal story about all the simple stuff that are dear to my heart. It is so lovely to see all the hard work being paid off and seeing the final result. I dipped my toes into digital art in order to make this book, I knew I had to go through something new and try things I hadn't tried before, it was a good journey filled with good and bad times, writing comes with a lot of happiness, sadness, frustration, a rollercoaster of emotions trying and deciding things out.

I am grateful for all of it. I had the idea of this book sleeping in a corner of my mind for years, and it was about time to wake it and put it into action. Since I love writing, I wanted the next step to be my effort entirely to illustrate my own book. I wanted to be the author and the illustrator! And I challenged myself to do so.

with all that said, I hope this book will bring a smile to your face.
