About this ebook

A delicious, sexy, laugh-out-loud modern romance about a newly single woman and her journey to find love again, from New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton and debut author Nina Bocci.

Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

Roman Crazy is majorly RomCom ChickLit. If you like chick flicks and romantic comedies when choosing a movie, this is definitely a book for you. Although I have no idea what it’s like to be super wealthy or just hop on a plane out of the country, I liked those parts. This allowed the reader to experience so many gorgeous things. Italy has been one of my top two dream destinations for years, and this story only made me want to go there more. I loved experiencing everything through Avery, especially the way she left her cheating husband and ran into an old flame. Everything in Rome is über romantic. Stylish fashion, wonderful friends, beautiful art and delicious food are abundant, and love is totally in the air.

***3.5 ‘You’re it for me’ Stars*** Having read and enjoyed Alice Clayton’s books and a slight obsession with all things Italian ~ food, men, wine, men, culture and architecture, men, fashion ~ I really had no choice but to give Roman Crazy a try. Here’s a second chance at love romcom set in Rome. Perfect right? And for the most part it was. The opening line had me doing a double take, I loved how Italy became a character all on it’s own and I enjoyed all of the characters we met along the way, some more than others, but still found them enjoyable. The ‘for the most part’ is because there were some aspects that 48 hrs or so after finishing the book I’m still contemplating how I feel about them, which makes for getting a coherent review done a bit difficult, but I’m going to give it a go because if I don’t there will be no review and apologize in advance if/when I end up contradicting myself. Loved this book! Having seen these places thru the eyes of the principal character made feel the wonderful atmosphere of Italy. You can almost smell the tantalizing aromas of the street vendors. Throw in a lovely second chances love story and I was sad when it came to the end. That's probably my only criticism, I wanted more of the finale, it seemed cut short. Will there be a part 2? Maybe a novella? Got to see a wedding and what about Daisy?
