Nike Vanenti is ruthless when it comes to business and even more so in his personal life. When 5 billion dollars is stolen from his compay Nike is furious but when all leads point to his ex-girlfriend revenge is all he can see. Sara Turner comes from a family of con artists but has strived to create a new life for herself. As a mid level accountant for an auditing firm she couldn't believe it when her newest client and billionaire wanted to go out to dinner with her. After a few hot and heavy dates Nik started to pull away and Sara learned early on to never let someone break her heart and trust again. When Nik shows up out of the blue again Sara is surprised to see him but when he starts throwing accusations of theft her way she is furious. Once again her parents past is coming back to haunt her and now she must find a way to clear her name aND protect her heart from the one man who can break it for good. I really enjoyed this book. Both characters came from b ad childhoods but found a way to overcome their past and create a successful future. If they can learn to do the same with their trust and their hearts then these two can find the future the never thought the could have. Loved this one! I thought Nik was great and how kind and gentle he is with Sara even though he is convinced she's not what she appears. He can't seem to help himself. Growing up on the streets and foster care may have made him ruthless in business but when it comes to Sara his heart is completely in charge. Sara has tried to live her life going down the right path but her family always seems to pull her down. What can you do though - it's family. When Nik Valenti, the one man who could steal her heart, accuses her of embezzling from his company she knows without a doubt her brother is involved but she can't help but want to protect him. At Nik's mercy she has no choice but agree to the crazy plan he has. Keeping her heart safe could be the toughest challenge of all. Excellent read, I highly recommend this one.

Nik and Sara have a lot in common. Both have had difficulties in their personal lives. From a young age and despite trying to out run the past each gets sucked back into the darkness they have worked to break free of. I received an ARC of Billionaire Blackmail in exchange for an honest review. Behind the shell of ruthlessness Nik has built around himself lives a man that needs tender loving care. His childhood has made it hard for him to allow vulnerability in. He wants love but is scared to seek it out and get nothing in return but the pain he knows it entails. Sara is the other side of the coin, she wears her heart on her sleeve for all to see and that weakness allows her to be hurt and manipulated by the people she loves most. Protecting her family could end up costing her everything including her freedom. Ms. Aimes is gifted in that she takes a story with a grim story line and ends up writing an inspiring and sensual look at the benefits and pitfalls of love.
