I came because I enjoyed this author's original "chapter a day" version, but this Naofumi is VERY different. The "hero of the pot lid", was so very endearing. He was a jaded, easily misunderstood, "mother hen" character. Protective and sarcastic and adorable. That character is no more. Without that element, this is a rather generic fantasy story.
