About this ebook

From New York Times bestselling author Angie Fox

Southern girl Verity Long is about as high society as her pet skunk. Which is why she’s surprised as anyone when the new head of the Sugarland social set invites her to join the "it" girls. But this is no social call. Verity’s new client needs her to go in undercover and investigate strange happenings at the group’s historic headquarters.

But while spirits are whispering hints of murder, the socialites are more focused on Verity’s 1978, avocado-green Cadillac. And when Verity stumbles upon a fresh body, she's going to need the long-dead citizens of Sugarland to help her solve the crime. Good thing she has the handsome deputy sheriff Ellis Wydell on hand, as well as her ghostly sidekick Frankie. The bad thing is, the ghosts are now whispering about the end of a certain ghost hunter.

Angie Fox SWEET TEA AND SPIRITS Her latest book in the Southern Spirits series is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time! I loved the twists and turns in this one! The mix of characters is more filled out than in her previous books. Her new boyfriend, Ellis, his mother, Virginia – who is also the mother of her ex-fiancé, and Verity’s ghostly partner, Frankie, all are more personable than ever. I really missed Ellis in the last book. He’s much more present in this book. Virginia, who has shown nothing but ire toward our heroine Verity, now Virginia even shows some surprising strengths and positivity. Well, not a lot, but… Frankie is the BEST surprise. No spoilers here, but the ending is SO surprising and wonderful. Along with some of Frankie’s ghost buddies, the mysteries of why people are dying in the library, who’s haunting her car, and who’s threatening Verity, her skunk Lucy and her “land yacht”, this latest novel is really a winner. It COULD be read as a standalone, but you’d know and appreciate the story much more by reading the books in order. As always, Angie, WRITE FASTER!

With the latest book in her Southern Ghost series, Sweet Tea and Spirits, Angie Fox has done it again. Every time I pick up one of her books I get a little thrill and this time is no different. She combines humor, mystery, romance and all out adventure with each turn of the page. Frankie has to be one of my favorite characters in the series and he makes me want to find a haunted house and befriend some old time gangster ghosts. Verity somehow manages to find trouble wherever she goes and it makes for an amazing read! Pick up this series and start reading, you won't regret it! I've been hooked on this woman and her sucked sense of humor since I stumbled onto her Biker Witches series. The only problem is that Ms. Fox has given me unrealistic hope of finding and making a skunk into a pet.

This is a fun book that I just loved! Our favorite ghost hunter, Verity, gets a crackling phone call telling her there had been a murder at the historical society's headquarters - better known as the home for widows and orphans. The only problem is, that once her boyfriend, and local police officer, Ellis, investigates, there's no dead body and no signs of murder. Verity uses her ghostly gifts, and ghostly pal Frankie's power to investigate. Unfortunately, other than Ellis, the local police aren't interested in her assistance. However, Julia, the society president, sees her there and hires her to look into things for her. Before long Verity stumbles across another dead body, which leads her investigation into a different direction. This is an entertaining series with lots of humor woven throughout an interesting mystery. Add in a heavy dose of ghostly paranormal and a bit of romance and you've got a perfect beach read. Fans of the genre will love this book and will want to put this one at the top of their TBR.
