I read this series when it was published as a serial. Below are my reviews for each episode. A FANTASTIC series! Episode 1: I normally don't read serials because I hate cliffhangers but this sounded so good I had to read it when I was offered a copy in exchange for a review. I'm so glad I did. Jax is hot and he has Mia very confused about her feelings. How can she like a fugitive? I love how the chapters alternate between Jax and Mia's view point. The story flows quickly and kept my attention. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Episode 2: This second episode in The Vigilante’s Lover was so riveting I couldn’t put it down. And the cliffhanger? It was explosive! There are some very cool scenes involving lots of tech and you get to meet a few more of Jax’s friends. Mia is starting to realize more of her potential. She is proving herself to be a capable woman in many different situations even though she hasn’t been trained. Once again Annie and Tony have delivered a great story. They have almost converted this reviewer who absolutely hates cliffhangers. Thank goodness they don’t make us wait too long between episodes. If you like romantic thrillers you will love this series. Episode 3: Jax has come to realize that he loves Mia and he must keep her safe. Mia only wants to be with Jax – she has no one else. This is another action packed episode in the series. The way the authors get Jax out of the trouble he was in at the end of the last book is amazing. The double cliffhanger for this book – WOW, just WOW. Once again Annie and Tony have delivered a great story. I think they have now converted this reviewer who absolutely hates cliffhangers. Thank goodness they don’t make us wait too long between episodes. The short wait between episodes, and excellent writing, have convinced me that serials, when they are this compelling, are something that I could come to like. I probably still prefer to buy all of the episodes after the series is complete but I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the ARCs for this series; I will hate to see it end. If you like romantic thrillers you will love this series. Episode 4: Reading this series has been quite an emotional roller coaster. The suspense, sex, adventure, sex, high-tech gadgets, sex, heart pounding suspense (yes, I know I've repeated a couple things - lol) - it's been a wonderful ride. I really hated to see this series end. This final episode was satisfying in many ways and yet the door was left open for more adventure with Mia and Jax. I really hope that the authors bring us more stories about this couple. I'd also like to hear more about Sam and Colette. I will definitely be reading more stories by Annie Winters and Tony West!
