The daughter of an Indian Foreign Service bureaucrat, Anusuya Hazra spent many years of her childhood in Canada and England, and much of her youth across various other countries, such as Libya and Germany. After passing the GCE ‘O’ level exams from England, she returned to India and graduated from Miranda House, Delhi University. This was followed with a post-graduation in English and a Bachelor of Education degree from Jadavpur and Calcutta University respectively.
The author is also an established educator by profession, and a successful school administrator, who was responsible for setting up one of the most prominent educational institutes of Kolkata. For her contribution to society and her lifelong commitment to education, she is admired, respected and much loved amongst the student community.
The long association with teachers, parents and children and her experiences from travelling have inspired her to take a keen interest in human behaviour. She has successfully published several educational articles - both in India and overseas.
Serendipity is her maiden fiction book, focusing on her understanding of human nature and relationships.
Anusuya shuttles between Delhi and Kolkata, spending much of her time writing and pursuing her other loves - reading, sketching and handicrafts.
