I have to admit this volume fills like a filler in the series. It felt like the author is just trying to drag it by introducing new characters, new world, new rules etc instead of fleshing out Grimgar which I feel has a lot more potential. You know that feeling when watching an anime (any anime but especially Naruto) that you have read the manga but the anime suddenly introduce filler episodes with random characters that just screws with the main storyline? This is what this volume feels like. Haruhiro may have had some character development and maybe a little bit for Kuzaku and Shihoru but they feel so small and by the end seemed irrelevant. Instead it tried to shoehorn some of these random characters that you just dont care about and ask you to be invested in them. It won't be too bad if not for the fact that it sidelines the characters that you DO care about.

I probably skimmed through half this book as it rambles far more than the other volumes
