About the author

Art Chansky has been covering Carolina basketball for more than 40 years. The Boston native and Carolina graduate has seen every Duke - Carolina game in person since 1968. Art authored his best-selling Blue Blood, Inside the Most Storied Rivalry in College Hoops in 2005 and is responsible for the creation the Duke-Carolina rival series, formerly known as the Carlyle Cup and now called Battle of the Blues, presented by Continental Tire. The Continental Tire Cup is awarded to the university that has the most combined head-to-head wins against the other in all of the shared varsity sports for that academic year. Art lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, whose father is a Duke graduate.
