About the author

Art Chansky has been covering Carolina basketball for more than 40 years. The Boston native and Carolina graduate has seen every Duke - Carolina game in person since 1968. Art authored his best-selling Blue Blood, Inside the Most Storied Rivalry in College Hoops in 2005 and is responsible for the creation the Duke-Carolina rival series, formerly known as the Carlyle Cup and now called Battle of the Blues, presented by Continental Tire. The Continental Tire Cup is awarded to the university that has the most combined head-to-head wins against the other in all of the shared varsity sports for that academic year. Art lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, whose father is a Duke graduate. Famed sportswriter and Tobacco Road basketball historian Art Chansky is releasing a digital version of his award-winning book, Blue Blood, for the Apple iPad, iPhone and iTouch. Blue Blood âe" The Digital Edition provides new and updated commentary and photos, and is specifically formatted for tablet devices. Users can flip through the pages of the eBook and enjoy a "coffee-table book" style version of Blue Blood through the brilliance of tablet and mobile computing. "This is an opportunity to bring a great sports story to the digital world, and to the millions of Duke, Carolina and all sports fans that consume content on these tablet and mobile devices," said author Art Chansky. "I wanted to create a new and exciting way for fans to learn about the rivalry, experience the classic moments and interact with the medium. Blue Blood âe" The Digital Version does exactly that.
