This book pulled me into the mind of the great detective Sherlock Holmes. He may be fictional, but he is the most famous detective in history! The English writing was only slightly confusing, but I was able to comprehend more than I first thought I would. The stories captivated me. Some were humorous & others were deadly serious! But all were enthralling! The author wrote these memoirs as Dr Watson, physician & close friend of the detective. I think that's what made me feel as if Mr Holmes was real!

I always love reading Sherlock Holmes novels, and this one certainly did not disappoint. If you're a fan of Sherlock, you'll appreciate this book, and if you've never read any of the previous books, this is a good one to get you started.
