This is an amazing series. I’ve been hooked by her romantasy pen name, and decided to check this series out next. Now, I have pretty much stopped reading the women’s fiction genre because I much prefer romance. However, these books drew me in in a way that I was not expecting. And it was right from the start. Bridget Baker has too much to say. She has too many kids (FIVE), way too many horses (8!!) way, WAY too many chickens (thirty!) and too many yappy dogs (3--and one border collie who licks too much.) She has just the right number of cats (2), and one very, VERY patient husband who puts up with all the madness. (Sometimes he even encourages it.) She used to be a lawyer, but she got sick of lying for work and decided to make up stories instead. . . In her limited free time, she kickboxes to stay fit. So if you don't like her kids, her loud mouth, her horses, or her stories, maybe don't tell her that in person.
